WISCONSIN ASSOCIATION OF CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAUS NAMES 2019-2020 OFFICERS
The Wisconsin Association of Convention Visitors Bureaus (WACVB) has named new officers for 2019 and 2020. Janesville Area CVB Executive Director Christine Rebout was elected as the organization’s new chair for the 2-year term by the WACVB Board of Directors. Other elected officers are Stevens Point Area CVB Executive Director Sara Brish as Vice Chair, Fox Cities CVB Executive Director Pam Seidl as Secretary and Bayfield Visitor Bureau and Chamber Executive Director David Eades as treasurer. Greater Green Bay CVB CEO Brad Toll will serve as the past chair.
Formed in 1993, WACVB strengthens & supports Wisconsin destination marketing organizations by providing educational, marketing and networking opportunities and tourism industry advocacy. WACVB currently has 38 members, representing more than $45 million in tourism promotional budgets to drive tourism growth in Wisconsin.
WACVB partners with the Department of Tourism to promote the state as a meetings and convention destination as well as a sporting events destination through the Meet in Wisconsin and Sports Wisconsin campaigns. It also operates Web site focusing on WACVB members – www.escapetowisconsin.com; hosts the Wisconsin Fall Tourism Conference and serves as a member of the Tourism Federation of Wisconsin, the state tourism industry’s legislative advocacy coalition.
